dual booting question

I have 3 sata drives inside my computer (2x640Gb and 1x120GB) and one has windows xp installed with other 2 just to be viewed as separate partitions. I would like to install elive on the 120GB. Can i unplug the other 2 and then plug back in after installed and the boot menu will work so I don't accidentally install on the wrong one or not?

As long as your primary HD (with Windows installed) is plugged in, you should be fine. I don't see the point. You should know which drive is which. Example: E: drive is the 120GB and the G, F drives are your 640GB. Just make sure you install it on your E drive which would be the 120GB.

Pet peeve, it is dual booting, not duel. Duel would mean you are fighting it to the death for honor.

I am going to say what I say to everyone, if there is no need to run 2 OSes native, I suggest you look into virtual machines.

Really? You've never told me off for it. :P

I openly admit to being a grammar Nazi.
