DSL Modem to Wireless Router

I am trying to setup a SMC7004VWBR wireless router with the Paradyne 6211 Modem and not getting anything I am trying wired before I try the wireless .

I changed the wireless router address to 192.168.1.2 (the modem is 192.168.1.1) both mask 255.255.255.0 the computer is set to DHCP I get into the wireless router fine it also seems to have gotten settings from the modem but I cant connect.

I get onto the internet with the modem alone , My ISP uses PPPoA

Any help here

The router has to be set to connect for you, enter the password, and such. There should be some info in the manual about how to set it up.

Do I have to turn off DHCP on the Paradyne modem ?

Anyway, yeah, you probably should disable DHCP on at least one device.

Yes it is , Basically I want to use it as a wireless access point
