DSL keeps going up, down, up, down....

I have been having an intermittent problem with my Frontier (formerly Verizon) DSL going down for no apparent reason. We have tried everything I can think of. It goes down frequently and then back up. There seems to be no rhyme reason to when or why. Frontier/ Verizon is clueless (or just doesn't want to mess with it). Has anyone else had any issues like this that they can help me out with?

Does the dsl light on the modem go out? Do you have a router/hub/switch in the mix of things? What have you tried doing so far?

The DSL light flashes like the signal is lost. We have tried replacing all the cables, rebooted, and they even put the DSL on a seperate pair on the phone line. Its just the DSL modem right to the computer, no extras.

If the dsl light just blinks and doesn't stay on all the time, you may have a bad modem or you have a dsl filter issue. Try using a different modem or have your line checked.

We've changed the modem, no luck, and there is no need for filters as the DSL line is now separate from the phone line.....
