Drives are gone!

My (D:)-(I:) Drives are gone. I went in the device manager and I reinstalled something and restarted. It found a bunch of new hardware and installed it but I only got back the (D:) drive. I've tried reinstalling a lot of things in the device manager but nothing works. The problem is that the computer doesn't read my SD cards anymore. The SD cards are not bad. I think the 'safely remove hardware' program removed the hardware that reads the SD card. My SD/MMC drive light doesn't come on when I put in any SD card anymore. What can I do?

Thanks :)

Sounds to me as tho it has removed the drivers for you Reader.

Re-Download the drivers for the Reader from the manufacturers website.

If you purchased your computer as a prebuilt system, you usually get a disc with the computer with drivers on it :), Try that

Thanks for the reply. I did what you did and installed a bunch of drivers on that CD like some IDE drives and some CardReader drives, plus some other ones. I couldn't find one for an SD card or any other media like that though. It was all the same drivers I saw in my device manager. I installed those and nothing worked. :(

if ya go into device manager find the drive. if ya see an exclamation then delete it. reboot the system and see if it will re detect it.

Thanks for the reply. I did what you said and looked through everything in my device manager and nothing had an exclamation (point) or anything by it. :(
