I recently erased my hard drive and now can't find the driver CD for my sound card. I opened the tower and the only name on the card is A-Byte PCI 5.1 Sound Card and I can't find the driver on any downloads. Any help would be appreciated.

have you tried running windows auto installer often picks up the driver and if it cant find the right driver it will at least tell you the make and model :)

ps a seperate sound card is less common these days, either you're a sound muscle head or your machine is quite old

The computer was built for me and didn't have a sound card so I went out and bought one and put it in. When I go into Device Manager, and then Multimedia Audio Controller (it is yellow ? ) it says "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)"
