I'll try and keep this as short as possible.
Working on a Win8.1 Toshiba C55D-A5163 for a friend. The wifi did not work on 8.1 and they wanted Win7. So after installed Win7 Toshiba's driver page was of no help. All the drivers I downloaded did not work (not 1). I researched it and found a forum thread with a semi solution (http://forums.toshiba.com/t5/Driver...-C55D-A5163/m-p/592784/highlight/false#M20677) however 3 drivers are still not working "Ethernet controller", "Universal Serial Bus (USB Controller)", and "USB2.0-CRW". The closest I got for the Ethernet controller was a Realtek driver provided in the forum thread above but for an error saying "if deep sleep mode is enabled please plug the cable" which I research and found http://adeelejaz.com/blog/realteks-network-controller-deep-sleep-mode-issue/ as a result. I did all steps listed and no luck. Even Windows Update couldn't find drivers. I realize this is a Toshiba problem and I've already posted in their forums but no one has gotten back to me so I'm trying to seek out help where I've gotten help before.
Any insight or help with this would be appreciated. It's not mine, otherwise I would just load in a Linux Distro and call it a day.
