Downloading

I have a 80 mb file my friends want to download but he doesnt live anywhere close by so i was thinking is there a way that he can download it from my computer by making my computer a host?

yes. you need to download an "ftp server" program, and he needs to download an "FTP client" program. You then run this server on your computer, and select what file you want to share, and user a user name and password for him to use to access. you then give him this user name and password, and the IP address of your computer, he connects to you and he downloads


Only problem may occur is your firewall may block him connecting, or if you are using a router, you may have port forward.
