I have been experiencing problems with the sound on my computer for over a week now, can't seem to figure it out. At first I just thought my speakers went bad so I went out and bought new speakers and found out that they don’t work either. So I tried plugging the new speakers into my iPod and learned that it was actually my computer and not the speakers. I am positive that I hooked it up right and I am positive that the speakers are on and the volume is raised. (These speakers didn’t come with a disc or anything so I know I didn’t have to install something special) I tried various things such as updating drivers, hooking them up in different places, ensuring that the device usage is enabled, and what not.
At one point when I was updating the device Creative SB Live! Value (WDM) it asked me to locate devldr32.exe and so I did but I’m not sure if it worked even though it’s listed in the Driver File Details and maybe if it didn’t work that could be the problem?
I am not exactly computer savvy but I am most appreciative with whatever help I can get. Thanks.
EDIT:
I am using a Gateway
Windows XP
(Not sure if that helps, hehe)
