direct cable conetion

i have my main computer (A) and an old one (B) that i just made, can i use a direct cable conection and share there resorces? i heard of distributive computing, and that work, i want them to connect using a serial port or printing port, wichever is faster.

well... you could use the serial port but i sugest using a hub or a router...less problems and you can expand the network as needed.

for faster data transfer connect using network adapter. you can also connect using paralle port and serial port.

well, i i'm not going to add more computers, all i need is the fastest connection and cheap price, the router is alittle more than i want to spend, under $50, (little budget), a serial port cable is cheapest i think... (just tell me what you think)

I think you can just set up a LAN through one internet cable.
