It helps to clearify... do you just not know how to plug something into a USB port? You just slide it in...only fits one way :P

Hehe... Just plug it up. MOST cameras run like USB flash drives and don't need drivers for 2000/XP. If you do, stick your driver disk in(assuming you got one with the camera) You should be able to find a driver for whatever OS you have. Usally they are located in folders like D:\Drivers\WinXP or even on the root of the CD at times.

As I already told you....My laptop has USB port, a cable, XP is already installed on my laptop, Medion Digital Camera MD 7467 I have got,....
when i switch on my laptop, it show "disc mode" on my camera....
However, I'm not able to connect th camera on my laptop..

You did not tell me... No where in this post did you say you had XP on your machine, and you didn't give me specs on your laptop as I asked.

Do you get any popups, dialogs, things on the task bar, etc?

yeah, when you have the USB in the camera and the back the laptop you should here a ding.

i had a simliar problem with my camera, i had PC something, and Disk Drive on my camera screen, i picked Disk Drive, cuz i dont have a memory chip in there, anyway click the OK button on your camera, or whatever it is, when you get the Disc Mode screen and see what happens.
