I'm not trying to hijack your thread, I'm just trying to give you my honest opinion. I wouldnt bother trying to sell it and especially with local pickup. I tried to sell 2 crt monitors about 2 years ago. Both worked problem free and were in very good cosmetic condition. They wouldnt sell for really cheap and I couldnt even donate them to the library or schools. The time to sell a crt monitor was within a few years of lcd monitor release. Now with lcd monitors cheap you cant even give a crt monitor away. Your best bet is to put an ad in craiglist advertising it for free and then put it out on the street under some weather protection. You may be able to find a recycler that will take it for free or a small charge and I have heard some office supply stores, atleast use to, take them for a small fee. Kinda sucks I know, its too heavy to ship but not enough interest locally to pick it up. Its not like an old video card that could still find use that may only sell for $10 but only cost $5 to ship. I think somebody really dropped the ball when the mass conversion from crt to lcd occurred because no proper arrangements were made for people to dispose of their crt monitor.
