Delay when speaking in chat

Everytime i use a microphone in chatprograms like MSN and others there is always a 8-10 seconds delay. This is really annoying. I've checked many times and there seems to be no problem with the incomming sound.
I do not know much about this stuff and i would really be happy if anyone could give me any sugesstions on what to do. :(
 
this has nothing to do with your computer ... it's the connection.
what type of connection do you use ?

My connection is 0.5 Mbit/sec and although I have this low connection i've had no problem like this back when i had only 0.25 Mbit/sec. So I don't think it has anything to do with connection speed. But yeah it could be something wrong with my connection setup or something. Though I don't know much about that stuff :confused:

EDIT: Oh yeah, my connection is ADSL

I have already have scanned my computer using ad-aware and my computer is ad-free :( So i can not figure out what's wrong
 
No. I have this problem on every program that has a microphone feauture. Incluiding teamtalk in various games.
