Does anyone know if it's possible to dasy-chain a router? I'm trying to set up a small home network, and I can't seem to get the routers working when I hook them up together. I'd appreciate your input.
I have a Linksys hooked up to my old Blackhawk router. The Linksys works fine when I have my two computers running off that one, but as soon as I plug in the Blackhawk, I lose all the connections. These are the only two routers I have as of now.
I think you're best off using a large commercial network router; I run several computers off of one I got from Carnegie Fabrics. All you need is one line in and they allow you to connect as many computers as you want without having to reconfigure IP addresses or installing new software. Sort of like 'plug-and-play' with a router.
