creative x-fi sound?

Hi everyone,

Bought these headphones and was wondering do I need an x-fi soundcard to use the technology? I'm currently using onboard sound on my motherboard, I'll put the link below. I had to replace my old headset because my roomates cat ate them.

It's a USB headset, meaning the sound chip is integrated into the headphones. meaning it doesn't use your onboard audio, and id wouldn't use a dedeicated soundcard either.
