Hi all,

at the moment im using Realtec High definiton Audio for my sound (mobo one)

Even though it does sound quite good for intergrated do you think this will be better?

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SC-049-CL

if for some reason the link doesnt work thats a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio 7.1 Sound Card - OEM (PCI) im looking at.

the speakers im using atm are LOGITECH X-140 2.0 which are also great speakers but i l probably be planning to upgrade them with 7.1s at a later date anyway.

also does that card do all the audio processing or would the cpu still do some? does it have x ram or is that only the Fatility?

Thanks in advance for replies ;)

That card is basically a dressed up Audigy SE. It uses softwares to emulate the X-fi effects and such. It does not have X-ram and is not a real x-fi.

For card under £30, you probably don't get X-ram...
ebuyer is cheaper, by the way...

Hmm okay, btw yeah ebuyer are cheaper for the card but theyre a rippoff on delivery.

£7 delivery + the price of the card so your looking at at least £42

that card you posted mate is PCI-Express,i need PCI :)

Being honest, What does the onboard sound not do, that you want it to? I really don't think you'd see a difference, maybe if you were recording, but not gaming and general music. I think you could save yourself some money.

Just my opinion :)

well mate,il be honest now i had intergrated audio on my last rig, then i got a cheap sound card from a mate and the sound change was amazing.

you could hear alot more things, the sound quality overall was alot better.
