The title sums it up. There is a card for sale for $10 that works perfectly. I don't have a very good speaker system but I'm thinking of getting a better one. Would it be better than my onboard audio? Model code is SB0220.

Im not sure if my google results are accurate but it appears to be a Dell OEM soundcard, if anything youll see very little gain. That and they are going for $5-$6 around the internet.

I'd just save you money for a decent internal/external sound card if you are looking for a better sound.

You wouldn't notice any quality improvement. You really should be looking at spending upwards of $60-$70 if you want a proper sound card that makes a difference worth the money. Onboard audio chips are fairly good these days, very rarely would buying a mediocre sound card be worth it.
