i have just turned my pc on, logged on and have realised that the hard drive light is buzzing like mad and my CPU usage is all over the place, 40% 70% and im wondering what the hells going on. I have nothing opened and it will not seem to settle :S ive had it on for 10 minutes now
 
Is Windows updating? Is your antivirus updating? Check in Task manager, click on the tab that says "processes" and check to see which one of the processes is taking up all the CPU usage and then you'll find out what is using up your processor.
