My dad has these huge 5 foot tall speakers for his music so I'm wondering If I could atach them tovmy computer... It would be awesome playing CS:S on full volume with those Too bad its only a 2.1 set

Are they attached to a stereo amplifier? If they are you can do a simple cable mod and have a speaker cable on one end and a 1/8th or 1/4 inch jack on the other, whichever your stereo amp takes. You can get the jack at radioshack. I don't believe you can go directly into a soundcard, I think it must go through a stereo amp.

you would have to run them through an amplifier first cos the soundcard cant deliver enough juice to the speakers.
if the speakers are that impressive im guessing the amplifier would be of high enough quality to have various inputs your could use if you bought the right leads.
