I've been looking at corner desks for my computer and storage and basically after looking for a few weeks have decided it's damn near as cheap to build what I want and if I do it's going to last longer anyway. Here's some drawings of what I'm thinking.
When it's all said and done I'm thinking I want 2 5' sections that will bolt together (so when I move they can be taken apart easily to be moved) will form a 7'x5' L shaped desk at 32" height. Just simple studs to frame it, plywood sides, and a nice 1" plywood surface. I want to paint or stain it but I'm not sure what to finish the desktop with. I want something that will hold up well and not get screwed up from a mouse, keyboard, ect being on it.
Pictures have details for the shelving and such I want on it. They don't include lighting or electrical, though.
Note: These pictures are just something I've come up with in the last hour or so.
