Hey guys. Just wanted to spread the word about our newly started contests going on at my blog at Tech Olive. You can go to www.tech-olive.com/contest and see what the latest contest is. The current one is our first contest (more like a sweepstakes) so it's nothing much, but I assure you the prizes will get better as time moves on :)

yeah, i got ONE question: can you tell me/dirtyd86 how to get the prizes for these contests so we can hold them on OUR site, contrail designs?

Well I guess I could share that secret :P

Just contact companies and tell them you want to run some contests and would like to use their products as prizes. It's almost like free publicity to them. They do it all time for LAN parties and such. Derek (g4m3rof1337) would know more about that.
 
If the prizes include any of the following I will be interested, if not then I will pass:

Expensive bottles of whiskey
high dollar hookers
cocaine
buffalo or other giant animals
dinosaurs, animatronic (sp?) will work.
Prime Rib
HK sniper rifles
Vespa Scooter
pilot goggles
a nice monocle

i don't know if they still do this, but omaha steaks used to send out free samples of their products with no strings attached. we got two eight ounce cuts, which really were not bad quality for being free. may be worth a google search
