Days of month 10-20| Part 2-Main Voting: All submissions (unless there are many submissions, than sacrifices will be made) are put into a poll thread, and people will vote for their favorite computers in the poll.
Days of month 20-25| Part 3-Final Voting: The top 3 computers from part 2 will be voted on, and the computer with the most votes will go on to part 4.
Days of month 26-| Part 4-Winner: The winner of part 3 will have a whole thread devoted to his computer, showing off pictures of it, and asking the owner about it.
Byteninja asked me to take care of his contest in his absense, so here is part 4 for July 2012's contest. I'm pleased to announce that the winner is G80FTW!
So, here are a few questions for G80, along with his answers.
1. How much money have you put into this rig? | $1,575
2. What will be your next upgrade? | Next upgrade will be a new power supply, followed hopefully by the IB 2011 platform (new mobo/cpu/ram)
3. Do you regret buying any parts of this rig? | Not really, though I over-estimated the 1366 platform slightly. But it still performs so meh.
4. What is your favorite part about this Rig? | My still fairly new GTX 680.
5. Does your rig have a specific purpose? For example, was it made specifically for gaming, photo editing, CAD? | Doesnt have one. I made it to do everything. I do some CAD work, play around in CryEngine 3 from time to time, used to do alot of Photoshop, gaming of course, but mostly just waiting for next years game engines.
6. Does this Rig live up to your expectations? | Of course.
