Hey guys
I have an issue with my wireless router.
The thing is I'm using it to connect up to my laptop and when it works it works great. BUt the thin g is it doesnt always work. It constantly turns off and I have to walk all the way to my router unplug it and then replug it. This would br okay if it happened everynoew and then but somtimes like last night for example in the corse of 30 mins it happened 20 times even in a few cases by the time I walked hback to my room it had disconnected again.
It's a Belkin G router that I ordered with my Dell laptop at time of purchase and this has always happened. So Do I need to update something or what?
It's only a few weeks old and maybe something isnt up to date.
Please help me its really frustrating.
Dylan
PS It seams to happen more when I run thigs like webcams over IM.

There could be a cordless phone interfering because it's on the same channel as the router. Try changing the channel of the router inthe configurations page.

Also, if you are using Window's Wireless Zero...don't. Try using the program that came with your router and telling window's connection program not to help.

If you ARE using the program that came with it...maybe try using the windows one then:P

I'm using Network Magic (I got it on a computer mag disc) and we go have to cordless phones that run on 5.9GHz what should I do to change that?

The 5.9gHz phones shouldnt have any effect on the router, unless the router is 5.9gHz, in which case you would simply change the channel of either one.
However, most routers run at 2.4gHz so that wont be the problem.
