So i was messing around with my moms computer trying to get it networked so my other computers can see it and share files with it. I kept trying different wizzards but to no avail.

Now her computer connects to the network, and shows the transfer of packets and things, but it does not connect to the internet.

I have tried every option in the wizard and nothing works.

How do i bring the network settings back to defualt?

Ive used the wizard, i have mentioned that already.

My internet goes trough a router that is always connected so there is no need to connect to anything. Just click IE and go.

But it is not working no more, i just want to defualt the settings

Sounds like your routers working, it seems to be modem, or possibly the server. Call your ISP and tell them whats going on and make sure that the server is renewing your IP address. They will walk you through everything trying to see if its them or you, they should be able to get you online.

Omg lol....

#1 my internet works, the other 4 computers can get online perfectly.

#2 I just want to make the connection defualted like it is when a fresh copy of XP is installed.

#3 Ive tried every wizzard there is.

#4 This computer says its connected and its sent packets and recived them, however it cannot connect to the outside world.

Someone help please, I cant clarify this anymore

There is no need to express your emotional distress. You came here asking for help and that is what you are receving. No ONE person knows the remedy of your problem and thus, we ask questions or suggest a formidable opinion as to what you can do to try and work it out.

You said that you it has wireless capabilities, that is the router I assume you are talking about? and not the PC/Desktop with a wireless card. I myself use laptops in the home with wireless capabilities through my desktop router, and when I network with other laptops, my internet does not work anymore with the network cable plugged in. So to remedy that, I have to uplug the network cables to get the internet back and running. Try and unplug the network cables to see if they work.

You said that you want it to default settings, just unplug the network cables and undo what you did to the network. If the wizards wasn't able to do anything and connect properly, no major change was probably done. I assume you should know what you are doing when messing with the network properties, if not, you shouldn't of been doing it in the first place.
