hey, i have a regular cable connection running through my computer but i also have a Atheros AR5001X Mini PCI Wireless Network Adapter built into my computer. my question is can i in any way connect my regular cable to my wireless to it is connected and i can basically use it as a router to any other wireless appliances ?

yes you can or up til now what i know you probably can. What you would need is a nother pc or notebook that has wireless, both yours and the other would have to be put in " ad-hock " or " ad-hok" mode, do check yours b4 you do anything else. Then you would need to do ICS to share your internet. a peice of advice. get a router with wireless. Much easier, plus protects you from the internet, which you aren;t right now. I just checked the log on my router and the firewall in the router had been pinged 20 times today and one syn attack.
