connected to my router but can't get internet access

I'm having some trouble with my laptop. I have all my tcp settings to auto-detect. I have 2 residents. At one of my residents I can plug in the ethernet cable or access the wireless network and I'm online with no problems. At my other residence I can access my router, but I have no internet access. I've tried my brothers computer on this network and he gets internet access. Does anyone have any idea as to what is going on here?

Hello,

You may need to add the connection. Under Network Connections, click 'Create a new connection' and go throught the wizard.
Good luck.

Sounds like a dns problem, Go to command prompt (start, run, then type cmd and hit enter) then type ping google.com If it gives you a ip address then your dns is fine, if it does not give you an ip, then its a dns problem
