Computers in internet cafe

I go to a nearby internet cafe for taking print outs because i do not own a printer. They do not have adobe reader installed.so i have to download and do that. But when I immediately restart the WinXP PC returns to original settings as it was there before i used it. All files i stored & installed programs in it got deleted. All PCs in the cafe are like that. is this called Auto-Config ? How i as a guest user remove this function so that all the files stored programs installed are retained after restart?

Thanks for the replies. I have win7 ultimate x86. I want to apply this 'deep freeze' on my PC. How do I do it ? And no i'm not trying to get the answer for my first question. :) I want to know because 'deep freeze' seems like a better option than system restore which I can use when my PC troubles me. :)

Well you didn't say that ;)

It's not terribly expensive. Feronics has some for only $35. Sounds like it's the best one out there.
