Computer won't recognize sound card...

Well, here is my problem. My computer seems to not recognize my sound card. It is lit up like it has power, but when I go to insert the Vista XF-I cd to install the drivers, it says that there isnt anything there. The card I have is the Elite Pro. I went into Windows Manager to look for it and it doesn't seem to exist. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
My old Audigy2 ZS did the same thing. I took out the card, ran the driver installer, turned off the computer when it said that the card was not present, plugged in the card, then ran the set up.
