Computer Shutdown time increasing.

I have noticed my shutdown time increasing. I have had it for a while, so it can''t be one of those "after you install it slows down" things. A couple of nights ago I shut it down at 10:30 and came back the following morning and it said "preparing to shut down" still.

I am using XP Pro with E7300, 9600GT and I forgot the Mobo.

Anyone help please?

Look under Admin Tools, then in the Event viewer to see if any problems are showing in shutdown. More than likely it is a driver problem, corrupted sound file or other.

Where is admin tools and event viewer?
I can't find it in control panel.
EDIT: wait I found it.
