Computer Screen problem (not monitor related)

Hi, I have a problem with my computer. 4 days ago, I saw my screen turn yellow for a sec and I knew it would come back. 2 days after that flashing it became permanent ( I cannot see the color blue, purple shows instead) It is annoying, because it looks like plenty of colors is missing too. I tryed my brothers screen on my computer and it did the exact same thing as my screen and some colors is missing, so I tryed my screen on his computer and everything was fine. I did not touch the cables or anything for at least 4 -5 months so it's not a bad connection. I don't know what happened, I came back from facebook and colors just messed up. 3 hours ago my normal screen color came back for about 10, now it's still buggy. Can anyone help me please? Thanks!
Between I have vista.. I don't know if it can help, but it's a pretty lame product and everything keeps bugging since I had bought it...
 
You have a bad onboard video chipset or a bad dedicated video card. The dedicated card can be replaced, the onboard video would mean you would have to get a dedicated card or get a new motherboard.
 
Oh I see thanks for the info! What do u mean by dedicated card, a new video card? It seems logical, because i've been having a few problems that I might think that it's video related. Around 1 year till this day (no one could told me what the problem was) everytime that I start my computer when i'm on the desktop the screen flashes in black 3-4 times then comes back to normal. When I leave to go to the gym and come back within 1 h my computer freezes, I think that all of my ports just stop working. I pressed the power button in order to restart my computer, but then my screen turned itself on and I could still see the clock on the computer and the time passing by. Problems after problems loll
Anyway do you think it's a coincidence or is it my video card or something else?

Are you using onboard video or a dedicated video card that is inserted into a agp or pci express slot on the motherboard? Your monitor on his computer and it worked okay, his monitor on your computer and it did the same thing as your monitor so that basically tells you that you have a bad video card or onboard video depending on which one you are using.
