Computer Science or Information Technology?

Dear forum,

I am in college and am about to change my major to computer science. But recently someone mentioned to me that Business Information Technology is a field I may also like.

From my small ammount of research online it seems as though computer science is the "better" feild. As of now I plan to change to computer science. Although I do already have an associates degree in business administration.

Would any of you who have either of these degrees be able to tell me some pros and cons of them? And just tell me a little more about them, like what you do on a daily basis at your job?

Also, if I do computer science, and then later decide that perhaps I would enjoy doing more of the type of work an IT person would do, would I already have the skill to get a job doing an IT person's job? and would the employer see me as a good person to higher?

Thanks!!

Computer science is ALL PROGRAMMING. So if you don't like programming, don't do CS.

If you like both hardware and software, etc. then go with Information Technology.

Voyager got it pretty much spot on. I started with CS and couldn't stand all the programming. My college then started a new Software and Information Systems track that basically replaced the programming classes with technical writing and and group-based course.
