computer remembering cookies *kicks computer*

I've been experiencing problems with my computer. The computer has been remembering cookies to the sites that I've been at even though I reformatted it. This is most evident because before when i reformatted my computer I would go into my online banking accounts and they would ask for a verification code. However it is no longer doing that and going straight into my accounts. I reformated my hard drives several times even used dban on it is still doing it. I also tried a registry cleaner. Any suggestions?

I've also been experiencing major issues with lagging on my computer. It lags when switching between sites or tasks.

Before formatting, did you save some of your files that you wanted to keep, and then put them back on there once you installed Windows?

When you reinstalled windows did you do a full format or quick format. This sounds like a quick.

the one i did recently was a quick format however last time I did a full format and used dban and the same problem occured.

I say full format with windows install disk or use killdisk.http://killdisk.com/
Don't waste your time with quick. Cause ya gotta do it again. I seen it before and was
my learning curve at one time.

he said Dban.
As far as i know is full. kill disk works well. Did not fail yet with windows install full format.
All occurrence's were gone.

With a windows cd. The only difference in a full and quick format. Full checks full disk errors. The format itself is the same. Sounds like your just instaling windows over the top of itself. Delete the partition, make a new one and do a format.

That..... A total fresh install requires the existing OS partition to be deleted and repartitioned.

i reckon you got too many cookies, as a high amount has been known to cause surfing performance problems. :(

i'd guess that over half or maybe 3-quarters you could delete to improve matters.

Why did you reformat your computer to wipe cookies...?

Also what browser are you using? I have the same issue with Firefox, have for a while. If I don't close it out every 20 minutes or so and restart the process it make my computer run like total crap. Had the same issue with FF for the past few releases.

I did delete the previous os partition from the windows install menu. Unless I'm doing something wrong. When I put in the windows disk I choose custom install then delete all the partitions and allow windows to be install there. I'm gonna try doing that again with killdisk this time too. Wish me luck haha

I reformatted my computer because I was having serious lagging issues with my computer.
But I was also curious to as why my computer was remembering sites to I've already been at after a reformat.
