So I have built a high end desktop and it randomly shuts down, any help is appreciated! It shuts down randomly whether or not it is in ubuntu/windows. It also starts up weird. It turns on then shuts off and then starts up again and loads normally.

Specs:
MB: Asus p8z68 -v-pro
HDD: 1 TB seagate barracuda 6 Gb/s
SSD: 120 GB OCZ
RAM: kingston genesis hyper x (2x4GB DDR3)
1 DVD/cd RW
1 front panel card reader
1 120 MM fan in back
cpu fan is a evercool transformer 4 (has 2 120 mm fans)
PSU is a 450W Antec in an Antec 300 case

I used a psu tester and it checked out. Current thoughts are too much of a load on the psu or too high temp. Any other ideas?

Are you using onboard video or a dedicated video card? The system shutting down is an overheating issue most likely or hardware failure. Whats your temps for processor and video card?

It can be a overheating issue. You may want to get us the temps that you are running as soon as possible and don't use the computer till you fix this problem.
