Computer making annoying noises

I recently bought a second-hand printer and installed the driver software for it onto my computer. The printer seems to work, however, my computer is now making annoying noises every ten seconds, even if I disconnect it from the printer. What can I do about this?

What sort of noise,And where about does the noise come from?..can you explain.

A beeping sort of noise, two different pitches, out of the speakers on the monitor. If I turn the sound volume right down I can't hear the noises any more.

Unplug the printer. UNINSTALL the printer driver/software from your computer. Restart and use it for a while (don't connect the printer/don't reinstall printer software). Let us know if you still hear those sounds.

They have gone now. I think it might have been something else that i had plugged into one of the USB ports in my computer.
