Computer lagg

Hi,

Whenever my laptop is on high performance or balanced battery power plan everything is extremely slow and laggy. Currently i have it on power saver (the lowest setting) and it is only a tiny, tiny bit slow.

It started happening around a year after i bought my laptop and at first it was only the high performance setting that was laggy and then about 3-4 months later the balanced became slow.

It was extremely random, my computer was fine before and then it was suddenly laggy.

Putting your battery options on "battery saver" shouldn't slow your computer down to the point where it becomes laggy. Your CPU will slow down to conserve battery, but you really shouldn't be experiencing lag in that regard.

I would reinstall my operating system and start from scratch--new computer basically. I do this at least once a year to clean all the garbage out that bogs a computer down.

What are the temps of your system? Have you cleaned it out lately? Checked for Viruses?
