Computer Is Randomly Shutting Down and Freeze...

Hi,

I just got AOL and Norton and was running scans on my computer and everything seemed fine. My computer isn't insanely slow or anything but it will just randomly shut down and freeze. This probably started around the time I got AOL and Norton. What should I do?

Well are the freezes in terms of BLUE SCREENS? In case they are, I had a simmilar problem when I was using AVG antivirus. For no apparent reason, I would get random freezes durning scans or durning the process of a scan. However, in your case it could be a combination of AOL and Norton. My guess would be on Norton. Try and reinstall it. That could help.

P.S.: If that fails it could be due to CPU ovrheat or some sort of other hardware problem. If you can, please check for that as well.
