An intermediate step

Before going in for repair, talking to someone about an issue such as getting a new computer, or a possible drive problem or needing to find out something.

Computers are complicated things for many people. While this website does a wonderful job, it would probably be helpful to talk about whatever the issue is with somebody before taking the next step.

Remote software works well and talk and or explain on the phone. Don't have to drive there. Realvnc Enterprise works well for this. Many others also.

A lot of the local computer repair businesses do that, you know the one man company things that come round your house and fix things. I would imagine they would be happy to help you out, unless they are a cock.
