I have had this bag for years (dakine 101 in black) and it is great plus the lifetime warranty is awesome.

I'm going to be studying business in college next year and I was looking for a computer bag that has a more professional vibe to it. For that matter I bought this bag.

Now both bags can hold everything I need to carry around. What is your opinion on each bag? I'm not sure I made a good purchase. I have 15 days to return it.

I have also been looking at this bag as an alternative to the dakine 101 because I do alot of urban commuting.

Every bag can hold a 15 inch laptop and lots of additional gear.

Yeah that looks cool. Looks a whole lot more pro than that backpack.

How so? What type of bags do you use for work or school? What is your take on messenger bags over backpacks? I feel like I'm always going to be leaning to one side.
 
This bag will carry my laptop up to 2 binders a schoolbook a portable HDD some flash drives power cable and display adaptors, my pencil case, a kensington lock, glasses and sunglasses as well as my apple remote.

Ideally my lunch as well as I am not sure if I will have a locker.
