compressed air

hey guys,

was just wondering if its normal for a can of compressed air to shoot out liquidy stuff (as in dripping with something that looks like water). it was at its worst when the can was new, but now when used the spray still looks like there is some sort of liquid coming out with the air, no droplets or anything like that now, its just really visible if you know what i mean?

so is it safe to use?
i've gone ahead and cleaned my computer with it anyway and it still works (temps dropped by 10C :P) but i avoided contact with anything other than fans/heatsinks

cheers! :)

Usualy it only does that if your not holding the can upright,But it could be that theres a blockage of something in the spray head.

Should be safe to carry on using because it will disolve quickly :)

sweet! thanks for quick reply!

yeah it happens the worst when i hold the can side ways to get into difficult places... its advertised to clear dust and dirt from hard to reach places, obviously not too hard though hahah XD

cheers!

Yeah it will, you must keep the can upright...i know its hard in some places though.

Compressed air is expsnsive and not many places in store sell it over here, well it is around our area anyway and when you can get it its only in stupid small cans that hardly do anything :P

I've got a friend that gets crap loads of them, get them off him. God knows where he gets them from, but I get them from him super cheap and he always has plenty :P

If there's a moment where the only option seems to be tilting the can, just spray the dust and hopefully it'll bank off of something and come out (cover your nose and mouth while doing this ;) )

it has an oil base to it. ya don't shake and upright only.
Get mine from a local office supply store. static free.
Im looking at other options now though. I have a friend that is strickly Intel. whey he cleans its a small, pluggin the wall blower. Newegg has them. Yes the cans, can get expensive.
