Hey guys.
I have an reservation today with pearson vue to take the A+ exam at 5
i have very thouroughly study for the 702 exam using a review, but havent touched the 701
are they similar?
should i take the test or wait till friday?
thanks

702 is just the 701 material but in practice, and equally as easy.

For instance on 701 you will get the question:

"Which of these connectors is used for Ethernet" with the answer being RJ-45

In 702, the question would be:

"You are setting up a wired network using Ethernet cabling. What connector must you ensure that all devices have to connect to the network?" Again, answer is RJ-45.

It is the same question, just in 702 it is worded into a scenario.

What preparation and materials have you used? I took mine using just prior knowledge and some practice questions. Was all of two days to get accustomed to the type of questions rather than fill in the knowledge. The exam is very easy compared to other qualifications provided you have the knowledge.

hmm, Thanks!

I also noticed from glancing through the review that I have that there were also many questions pertaining to "social engineering" and how to deal with customers in person and over the phone. (needless to say I ended up not taking the exam, I actually got stuck in traffic and missed my time :/ )

I have also decided that i am "prepared" mostly through prior knowledge/experience.

I also have a really thorough review for both the 701 and 702 (200pg pdf each) I asked because I had finished the pdf for the one and not touched the other!
Thanks Again!
E
