When I boot up the following happens:

Computer starts for a second and then stops
Then it fully starts up

Error opens saying "CMOS Checksum error - floppy disk fail"
Hit F1 to continue or something else to enter setup

Any thoughts? I don't even have a floppy!

Im guessing. Either setting are incorrect or you have a bad battery on the motherboard. (button battery like a 2032).

open up and look for the number on the battery. get it. install as same polarity like positive up. then start up. That should work. It will hold the settings long enough. you can get from any drug store. they have them. might have been an issue if 4 or 5 yrs. i change every battery about every 3 yrs. Others are more qualified in settings. there is an option for default settings in bios and start from there. 1st boot device or change. some one else will reply that knows more.

the indication if battery is going bad will be the clock time in windows. always behind.

Load BIOS optimal defaults and then disable the floppy disk drive in the BIOS.
If that didnt help, try changing the CMOS battery.
