I am looking for some kind of free software that will allow me to monitor my home computers from my main pc. Id like to be able to view the computers screen and access it remotely. Thank You :D

At my techcenter they use the exact same thing but i forgot what the program was called. I think it was made by Novell. The teacher can control every pc. Did you know that if a student knows what they are doing they can get rid of it very easy. All they would have to do is go to services.msc and cancel the service. Or they could disable it in msconfig and restart the pc.

I'd be more worried about the fact that a student was to have access to those facilities to be honest... Any network manager whos worth the money he gets paid would lock down almost everything like that...

Very true but, apparently the tech and my techcenter is not very smart b/c the other day I accomplished it. You can access everything on those pc's. The main reason is b/c they are on xp pro. Vista is alot better for this, as account manager would help tremendously with blocking msconfig and services.msc!! If the pc's were to have vista, account manager, and all pc's on guest account the students could virtually do nothing. But, thats if you wanna update every pc to vista!

I have disabled many things on there. They have the basic windows. No run command, No My Computer, So Search, No Control Pannel. and more. I have it very limited on my kids computers. They have 2 desktops. 1 for games and basic things. and the other with just the internet and ms word for school.
