Cheap Motherboard better than expensive 1

Because ive been buying new parts 4 my main computer lately, i decided 2 buy a motherboard as it was all i needed 2 make a second complete computer. The only problem is that this computer ive made of spare parts is better than my main computer:

Second Computer:

Cpu: E8400
Ram: 2 GB Hyperx
Mobo: P5KPL-AM SE (http://www.asus.com/Product.aspx?P_ID=xs6iinKxu0y5agcg&content=specifications)
GPU: 8800GT
HDD: Western Digital sata 500GB
PSU: NOX 600w

This computer is more stable, it seems to just flow better in games. One weird thing is that the default voltage of the E8400 in my main computer was 1.3v, but now in this new motherboard it runs at 1.18. Im so pissed as this computer has better fps in all the games i play and it doesn't have sli. Ive done everything possible to make my main computer work to its full potencial (Latest bios, latest drivers, latest patches, different OS's, default settings, overclocking, sli, no sli) and still its not as good, so ive abandoned it 4 the moment and im using the second computer. Has anyone got any possibilities as to why this is the case?

yeah. My main computer destroys my second computer in 3Dmark05 and 06, but like i say its worse when it comes to playing games.

What particular games are you playing? And are the software versions/drivers identical on the two machines?

There may be more of an issue with the games and drivers than between hardware. Since you are getting expected results in 3DMark, that sounds like you have something up with the individual software.

I agree with wat u r says but if this is the problem then theirs not really a solution. Am i going to have to wait until all driver and patch bugs are resolved, considering the time ive spent on this computer, im not sure that i can b bothered with it 4 the moment and i will just try it again in the future. I dunno wat else to do, this computer is just 1 problem after another and im starting to believe that simpler is better.

I completely understand the simpler is better thought process.:)

Have you tried completely disabling sound on your primary machine? It's a long shot, but a possibility.

thanx 4 the help but no sound is not making a difference, im just going to have to play the waiting game and c how it go in the future.

you might have just stumbled upon a better configuration of parts. some things just work better together :)

Yeah, maybe there's a driver issue with the SLI machine.?

The OP stated the pc with the single card, his new build, runs
better than his original.

Remember guys! SLi does not always offer a performance boost. It only works like that if a game is designed to.
