my 10 year old speakers are dying, and i have been looking at getting new speakers. I know nothing about speakers, and i am looking for a good set of 2.1 speakers for roughly $50. what brands should i be looking into? thanks in advance.

Eagle Tech Arion 2.1s are very popular among computer audio forums in your price range. Seems very sensibly designed with dual midrange drivers and a tweeter.

I'll admit it, for cheap speakers those actually impressed me.

Yeah I got it for $20 free shipping and they were a "eh got some extra" purchase. Even the subwoofer does a impressive job for FPS games. All around a impressive purchase for what I payed.

Then again I am not a audiophile.

The sound quality is very important for speakers. My friend have purchased a 2.1 Stereo speaker online, it is cheaper than the market, but it seems that the quality is nice.
btw, it only need USD30.00  i will send the picture for you reference

what do you think about these (link). they are on sale at staples, and they are cyber acoustic CA-3602 (i think)

I would say they are comparable to the cheaper logitech sets. Great reviews on them and a heck of a deal.

Edit: 5.25" sub which is fairly large for a pc speaker system

thanks. i really like the deal, i just wasnt sure on the brand, never heard of cyber acoustics before. i read some of the reviews, most said they were great.

I bought the Cyber Acoustic speakers today. i like them, especially for the $30 i paid for them. they get plenty loud, and has good enough bass for me. thanks your all's help.
