changing background (continuously)

yes,
in Windows 7 you rt-click desktop - personalize - desktop background:
"click a picture to make it your desktop background, or select more than one picture to create a slide show"

tada!

While that is true for Windows 7, I don't believe that Vista or XP will do that on their own. However, I believe that there are some freeware programs out there that will accomplish this idea. But I'm not sure...

Windows 7? Is that a new version after vista? Man I am out of it. No, I don't see any option like that for XP.

In Vista theres a thing called DreamScene which is available through Windows Update. I dont know if its only available in Ulitimate though cos in my Windows Update it has DreamScene under "Windows Ultimate Extras". Im pretty sure you can have rotating backgrounds with this cos you can have videos as your background. Havnt tried it though.

I guess I need to have a newer windows for this bell or whistle. I have XP. My exwife has vista and it reminds me of my nephews MAC. I just can't get around in it. It's really weird, but I make windows more basic and don't like the usual "my documents" and other things windows does to make it easier.

I found this but I thought there would be some freeware. I haven't found that yet.

Yeah, I used to have something like that. I think it was called 'Wallmaster'. You can either change the wallpaper every 5 mins etc., or it will change everytime at startup. I had this for XP, but I got rid as it was just another thing slowing down my (already slow) boot times!

Hope that helps, Doug.
