Case fans

I have an Aspire X-cruise case. There is space for 2 more 80mm fans. Is it really that big of a difference between a $14 fan and a $5 fan? I just want want I need, I dont like going overboard if it isnt necessary. I am not doing any overclocking.

My comp specs are in the sig

Please give me some suggestions on what fans to buy. I need 2 of them.

I bought a couple of Aspire fans to have(just in case one goes bad) but they've been running 24/7 for over a year.( installed ones)
Same as everything I guess, " you get what you pay for"
 
if you're not doing any overclocking, just make sure u really need the fans, because if everything is cool enough, there no point in even spending that 5 dollars. just a suggestion...

and for the two fans, noise might be a factor...

I wont be doing any overclocking.
 
The differences between a $15 fan and a $5 fan vary. Usually a cheap fan has a crap CFM and sound like a hoover. But then there are $15 fans with crap CFM and are silent.

So I would look for somethink with a balance, no more than 25dB noise level, and at least 30CFM. My thermaltake 120mm fans are 21dB, but still push plenty of air (Still unsure of the CFM rating, thermaltake dont provide it)

Thanks, that gives me something to go off of. I wont be doing any overclocking, but if my case has room for 2 more fans than I am going to take up that room and get everything as cool as possible. :)
 
Yeah you should forsure got those 2 fans. You want to keep your pc as cool as possible so it will be in top notch performance.
 
My rig is starting to get a bit loud. I've got an 80mm intake fan in the side cover. Two more 80mm intake fans in the front, blowing on my hard drives. 120mm exhaust fan in the back panel. 90mm exhaust fan on a blow hole in the top.

I don't really care too much. I've got about $20 in case fans. I bought my fans purely on CFM. I bought the ones that blow the hardest. Didn't care about noise.

I might upgrade to quieter fans in the future, but if they can't push the air volume--no point in it. I'm REALLY impressed with my temps now. Adding all these case fans, and updating a couple of them has really dropped all my temps quite a bit. Dropped my CPU temp by like 5C or 6C. Dropped my HD temps by almost 12C. Dropped my MB temp by 6C.

Funny thing is--you'd think that there would be flaming hot air coming out of the case with all these fans. In fact, it's totally opposite. With so much intake air and so much exhaust air, none of it has time to hang around inside the case and get hot.

It not quite as loud as a Hoover. Now where near a Pratt & Whitney Super Duper Turbo Sucker Air Twister 2000 jet engine. But, she's started to get noticable. :rolleyes:

Like I said though, I'm fine with it for now, because my stuff is cool.
