Im looking into buying a sub, ive got a mordaunt short 308 and had a tannoy ts12 im willing to spend up to £500 but il push the boat out if need be, i will use it for playing music and abit of films as ive got the sub connected up to PC, im looking at the bk subs and the svs subs and cant decide between the xls300/pr or the sb12+ mind you the bk is so much cheaper even the monolith is cheaper than the svs sub. basically i cant decide and i really need help?

If you are going to choose between the XLS300 and the SB12+, go with the SB12+. You will be much happier. I go back and forth on complimentary dual driver subs. Sometimes they are worth it, and at others, a single powerful coil will give you better air movement. Besides, SVS makes excellent speakers.

How did you like the TS12? I haven't used Tannoy subs for a while. I love their dual-concentric Precision series monitors.

Sorry im not much help....but £500 on a Sub

That's nothing. I've spent more than that on replacement cones for blown 18" EAW drivers.

i really dont know anymore as my ideal sub would be a single driver(12") a port for the extra low bass and a small cabinet, if you can help me that be much appreciated

Dont get tannoy ts series there Sh1t i eventualy got my money back as the 1st one keeped on blowing fuses every second and the 2nd one well power was getting to it but wasnt working

Are you looking for a theater grade unit, self powered? Or are you looking for a PC speaker grade unit? I am assuming the former from your initial choices, but I want to make sure.

What kind of a circuit were you running it on?

look into the dayton audio mkIII

idk any of the subs your talking about but dual voice coil is 90% of the time better more wiring flexibility lower fs usually and are jsut harder to blow ...unless you wire it wrong ahha

how much "deep bass" are you looking for cause to me thats in the 19 25 hz range haha ive a got my 15 tuned to 19hz ina 5 cube box with 124 square inches of port
