cannot get my sound to work

I recently reformatted a fairly old computer. The computer is the Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo 600. Everything seems to be working okay apart from the speakers. The speakers are nothing special, just manufactured by labtec. They have a jack plug which I have plugged into the matching color on the back of the PC. I tried my USB headphones and the sound is coming through perfectly okay on those. The only thing I can think of is I haven't installed some drivers. However I did go to the Fujitsu Siemens website and find my exact PC and download various audio drivers. Problem is, I'm not sure how to install them. They came down as a zip file,after extracting the files there is nothing that you can click on to install the driver.

Any advice would be very much appreciated

lol ok if it gives you a zip file to download it will save it someware look ware that file is saved so you can go to it

Look in the device manager and give us a list of devices that need drivers. If everything is installed correctly you won't see any yellow question marks next to the devices.
