Cannot get docking station to boot

I have an emachines ET1331G-03w computer to which I have added a SATA docking station and a clone of my internal computer's hard drive. It is my intention to boot off the H.D. in the dock and use it as primary to run the computer. The H.D. in the dock has been cloned and seems to have everything copied correctly.

However, despite the fact that when I go to Windows, My computer, the docked clone drive is seen as drive E:, I cannot find how to configure BIOS to use it as the first boot drive. It is like the computer cannot see the drive (does not list the docked drive as an option), in setup despite the fact that my dock is operating before I turn the computer on and the dock is plugged into one of the back USB ports. Can someone please help me to set my docked H.D. as first boot device?

You're not really going to be able to boot it off the dock. Why don't you just put it in your computer?

What did you use to clone the drive?
A program called Reflect.

I have been told by a professional systems manager that it not only is possible, he does it all the time at his job to switch hard drives between machines without opening the case.

FYI, I accessed my BIOS and changed the boot ("Hard Disk Priority", from my internal hard drive (1st Drive, ST350....), to the 2nd Drive, "ASMT2105" which is my docked clone. And, it works...am running it off the clone as I post this.
