Can you really notice a difference between 24bit and 32bit?

OK, the only card I have ever had is a 32bit, but it is not a name brand. Now, I have seen and herd that soundblaster cards a really good, but there 24bit. Mine is 5.1, but the soundblaster is 7.1 how do I offically tell which one will make someone more satisfied. If bit rate make a more crisp can clear sound, will mine still beat a 7.1?

The creative soundblaster cards that are 24 bit are alot better then most 32 bit cards and if your going to be buying a new soundcard you will want to get the X-FI series either the Xtreme Music or the higher up ones.

7.1 Is just surround sound. 5.1 alouds 5 speakres 1 sub, 7.1 allows 7 speakers 1sub.

32 bit does not mean better, as many 24bit cards beat them by far.

I have an audigy 2zs and it has great sound, 24 bit sound is more then enough. I mean I am sure 32 bit, well at least some of their cards, produce a better sound quality but most speakers, especially computer speakers, can really produce that perfect of a sound so it really doesn't matter.

I don't think theres really any difference at all. Maybe with certain high powered speaker arrangements, possibly. Even still, the Audigy and X-Fi will blow many 32-bit cards away.
