Hi pipol, i just want to ask is it possible for the computer speaker to work even if the headset is plugged into ur computer? i am using the headset to do voice chat, and when i am not using voice chat, i wanted to be able to listen to music using the pc speakers. It's just a hassle having to plug/unplug,re-plug the headset and the speakers plug. There are also times when i wanted to be able to hear incoming voice calls when i sometimes forget to unplug the headset. hope im making sense here :) .. please advise. thanks

As far as I know, that's not possible, even if your computer has a separate headphone jack (mine has one in the front), that jack usually overrides that speaker jack in the back. Basically, the motherboard is only designed to use one audio jack at a time...

you cant?

Thats werid I have a Xfi sound card and always have my headphones connected while my speakers are on and it always works

Ah, that is probably then a function that your sound card allows for. Cool, so if you have a sound card that is set-up for that, then it's ok; otherwise, I believe the motherboard will still only route sound to one interface.

thats true

Actually you can do this on any soundcard, just get an adapter which splits up you stereo output from the soundcard to 2 stereo outputs. Then just connect the speakers to one of the 2 outputs and your headsets to the other output.
